    COMMON QUESTIONS:

    DO I GET TO COME AND VISIT THE PUPPIES? Visiting is at the breeder’s discretion. The health of the puppies is first and foremost. Young puppies have little to no immune system and are susceptible to Parvo Viruses and bacterial elements that are easily brought in innocently on shoes etc. Visiting is allowed at 3-4 weeks old, with an appointment. Alternately digital pictures of the pups are sent out in emails so owners can see the pups growing up. We are  using videos for our puppy families. Make sure you give me a cell phone number I can text pictures and videos to.  

    DO I GET TO PICK MY OWN PUPPY? Yes, you will get to choose the color and sex you prefer. And, we will guide you to the puppy that is best suited to your family and lifestyle.

    DO I NEED TO PLACE A DEPOSIT WITH THE BREEDER TO RESERVE A PUPPY? Yes, I require a $200.00 deposit.

    WHEN MUST I SEND MY DEPOSIT? Once the application is approved. A CALL to RUTH IS A QUICK WAY TO GET APPROVED (503-842-7983–leave message and I will call you back).

    WHAT HAPPENS IF I CHANGE MY MIND. AND, DO NOT WISH TO TAKE THE PUPPY. IS THE DEPOSIT REFUNDABLE?  No

    WHY IS MY DEPOSIT FORFEITED? Because the breeder has turned away 10 or more people to sell the puppy to you. And does not keep an ongoing list once pups are reserved.

    ARE THERE ANY EXCEPTIONS TO THIS RULE? Yes. In the case that the breeder cannot provide you with a puppy. (your choice of color & sex). The full deposit is returned.

    WHAT DO I DO WITH THE PUPPY/ADULT DOG, IF AFTER I TAKE IT HOME OR SOMETIME IN THE FUTURE, I FIND, I CAN NOT OR DO NOT WANT TO KEEP HIM/HER. It must be returned to Springer Spaniels of McCormick or to an approved home “ONLY”.

    ARE THERE ANY EXCEPTIONS TO THIS POLICY? Yes. If the new owners find a home for the puppy/adult dog. And it is approved by SPRINGER SPANIELS OF McCORMICK. SPRINGER SPANIELS OF McCORMICK has the “first right of refusal”.

    IS THERE ANY AGE LIMIT OR UNACCEPTABLE REASON FOR RETURNING THE DOG TO “SPRINGER SPANIELS OF McCORMICK?  No. This policy is in effect for the life of the dog with no questions asked. The return is unconditional for both parties.

    WILL I GET TO MEET THE PUPPIES PARENTS OR RELATIVES (DAM & SIRE)? Yes. The sire and dam are on the premises.

    DOES “SPRINGER SPANIELS OF McCORMICK” OFFER ANY SUPPORT AFTER THE SALE OF THEIR PUPPIES?   YES, YES, YES.  We are only an email/phone call away.

    WHAT ELSE DOES “SPRINGER SPANIELS OF McCORMICK” PROVIDE?
    1. Vaccination: First in the series of 3-4, at 6wks old.
    2. Wormed: 4 times before going home
    3. Health guarantee: 2 yrs. for hips and eyes
    4. AKC registration
    5. Starter pack of puppy food
    6. New collar and leash
    7. Vaccination & worming records & instructions for “puppies first week”

    WHEN DO I GET TO TAKE MY PUPPY HOME? Around 8 weeks old. All puppies mature at different levels. If he/she is to be shipped, a minimum of 8 weeks old.

    WE WANT OUR PUPPIES TO GO TO “LOVING HOMES” THAT OFFER A “SAFE AND HEALTHY” ENVIRONMENT.
